Meaning of glamping
Glamping means glamorous camping – camping with comfort – and is one of the travel trends of recent years. In contrast to traditional camping, where you take your own tent or caravan with you, with comfort camping you can check in to lovingly furnished and ready-made glamping accommodations like in a hotel. Here you are immediately in vacation mode – arriving, checking in, putting your travel bag in the corner and relaxing.
You stay in the middle of nature in comfort tents, lodges or tiny houses – usually with your own terrace, roof and chilled seating. Glamping means a vacation close to nature without having to forego comfort. The community is also special: through activities and facilities in the fresh air, you can often get into conversation with like-minded people from all over the world in our camps. Glamping, on the other hand, also means Corona-compliant vacation.
Who is behind Ĝojo?
Ĝojo is Esperanto , a planned language for better international understanding, and means something like joy. The cone on the Ĝ not only stands for a different pronunciation, “dschoijo”, but also has symbolic power. Home is literally where the heart lives and we want to make the Ĝojo Camps exactly this place in the heart. Incidentally, there are two full-service agencies behind this for the implementation of event camps: Domo Camp and My Molo. Ĝojo arose from the idea of offering glamping resorts for a few days right where the action is – for example at large festivals such as Wacken Open Air, Rock am Ring, Oktoberfest, trade fairs or company events.
My Molo and Domo Camp have been running great camps since 2016 and offer their own glamping accommodations. The heart of this offer are the foldable Tiny Houses (so-called lodges) from My Molo or the Domos originally developed for humanitarian purposes. Under the magnifying glass of the Corona crisis, event camps quickly turned into holiday camps and the seeds for Ĝojo were sown.
